Storage: Muslin Cloth & Cedar Wood
Never store pure silk sarees in plastic bags, which trap moisture and can cause zari oxidation. Instead, wrap them in breathable unbleached cotton muslin cloth. Place natural neem leaves or cedar blocks nearby to deter moisture and moths.
Airing & Changing the Fold
Every three to four months, take your sarees out and unfold them in a shaded, well-ventilated room. Refold along different creases to avoid permanent fabric stress along the fold lines, preserving the gold zari borders indefinitely.
A machine weaves a thousand meters of uniform cloth a day. An artisan weaves two, infusing each warp and weft with human breath, prayer, and living geography.
